I really love this time of year; wrapping up warm, hot chocolates, Christmas lights, visiting Christmas markets. It is always a nice, happy atmosphere despite the chilly weather. I recently visited Leeds Castle, on weekends throughout December they have a Christmas Market & Funfair.
Leeds Castle Christmas Market
Leeds Castle is near Maidstone in Kent. The Castle grounds cover 500 acres, making a really nice walk any time of year and there are lots of wildlife to see. The prices are; £24.90 for adults, £16.90 for children aged between 4 and 15, Infants under 4 are free. If you live locally these prices are pretty good as your ticket is then valid for a whole year and you can visit as many times as you wish. Leeds Castle holds lots of different events throughout the year.
All year round you can walk around the grounds and look inside the castle. There is a children’s play area and a maze, you can also watch falconry displays at various times throughout the day.
The Christmas Market overlooks the castle and there are loads of stalls and funfair rides on site. Rides work on a token system which you need to buy when you are there, they are priced reasonably, great fun for children. My sister is almost six years old and she really enjoyed the day.
Leeds Castle Christmas Market makes a really nice alternative if you don’t fancy heading into London for Winter Wonderland. It wasn’t as busy so you are able to leisurely browse the stalls and the rides are great for small children.
My plans for December
I will be going to Winter Wonderland in December, if you have never been I definitely recommend going it is such a great day out. Also in December, I am visiting Disneyland Paris, make sure you are following me to see these future posts. I am looking forward to getting some really nice Christmassy photos and enjoying time with friends & family.

I would love to go to a Christmas market! We actually have one where I live but it’s a pretty small one, and it’s coming up this coming Sunday. It’s a German Christmas market. Have fun in Disneyland Paris, that sounds like a blast! I am jealous!
