Hi Everyone!
This is a continued post, detailing my holiday to New York – If you haven’t read day one you can click here to read it first.
Having looked at the weather forecasts, I found today was going to still be raining and overcast, but the next few days would be much nicer – we wanted to save sunny days for Top of the Rock, One World Observatory and Statue of Liberty. So we decided it would be perfect to go to Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum as it wouldn’t really matter that it was raining. Before we headed over to the museum we stopped at Tick Tock diner which is situated in Wyndham New Yorker Hotel and had breakfast.
After breakfast we walked over to Intrepid, it was good to explore an area of the city that I hadn’t last time. We were a little worried at how long the walk would take but it wasn’t too far at all, roughly twenty minutes from our hotel.

We were in the museum for a couple of hours, I had seen it was a popular place to visit but didn’t have any expectations on what it would be like, but we both really enjoyed it. There is so much to look at and alot information on what life was like on-board Intrepid. I would definitely recommend it if you are planning a trip to New York, they also had lots of things to keep children entertained.

On our way back from the museum we grabbed some pizza, the slices were huge – so delicious! After drying off from the rain we headed back out to do some shopping and more exploring. We walked down 34th Street passing the Empire State Building and along to Park Avenue – I love the view from this road looking down at Grand Central Terminal. We went inside the terminal and spent some time wandering around – It was very busy as it was rush hour around the time we were there, it is interesting watching everyone rush to their platforms. From here we walked out to Lexington Avenue, getting a good view of the Chrysler Building and I wanted to visit the Bath and Body Works store as I had heard so much about it online but had never been to one. I will share what I purchased in a separate haul for you. Afterwards we took a slow walk back to the hotel stopping in shops along the way.
