Skincare Routine – FACE

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser*

This cleanser used to be raved about everywhere. Now I feel as though the hype has died down a little. I recently revisited this cleanser and remembered just how good it is. You can use it as a normal cleanser or apply it and removal with a hot cloth for more of a treatment. This removes all of my makeup and leaves my skin super soft. Perfect for the cold days or where your skin is taking the effect of central heating.

Nivea Oil-Free Face Cream*

I have oily skin and find using a specific matte moisturiser really helps keep oil at bay. This is the one I am using at the moment and am really happy with the results.

The Ordinary 10% Lactic Acid*

I recommend this product for anyone. It is a brilliant exfoliant. This product helps with any imperfections and my skins seems a little more vibrant after using it. I reviewed the weaker version, you can read it here. I apply it at night and then use the moisturiser below.

St Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturiser*

As someone that has oily skin, I would usually refrain from slapping moisturiser onto my face. I was sceptical about this moisturiser at first but I love it. Firstly, you get a large tub of the product – it’s the same size as a body cream. Secondly, this is marketed as a collagen regenerating moisturiser – I am now in my mid-twenties and am getting conscious of ageing and would like to prevent it if at all possible.

The Body Shop Himayalan Charcoal Mask*

I find this a slightly cheaper alternative to Glam Glow Supermud mask, read my post on those here. You apply and it once it dries it tightens your skin and cleans out the pores. I don’t use this very often but it makes for a really good mask when you are taking the extra time to pamper.

Skincare Routine – BODY

Dove Beauty Cream Bar*

These bars are so creamy and moisturising. I tend to have showers more than baths but I realised that bar soaps are so much better than shower gel.

Dove Moisturiser

After using dove soap bars I love to follow up with the moisturiser. The smell is so fresh and comforting. Perfect for winter when your skin begins to try out due to changes in temperature and heating.

E45 Moisturiser*

For some reason, my legs can flare up after shaving if I use scented moisturisers. I find E45 is the best for sensitivity, it is light but provides

Being by Sanctuary Spa – Salted Caramel Scrub

This scrub smells gorgeous, what more to do I need to say it smells like salted caramel. The grains and really small which I prefer, it doesn’t feel too rough on the skin. I use this before shaving my legs.

Baby Oil*

Once I have scrubbed my legs, I use baby oil as shaving cream. As mentioned before I have sensitive skin on my legs and this really helps prevent shaving rash.

Venus Swirl Razor*

I have used lots of razors and I seem to come back to these. Because the head swivels you are less likely to cut yourself. Other than these I like to use men’s razors, they have more blades and provide a closer shave.

The Ordinary product really didn’t get on well with my skin which is such a shame. I was so excited to try it! I love Dove body lotions, they always absorb really well and leave skin feeling great. My go-to products for this time of year are all facial oils. My skin gets so dry! x

I absolutely love the smell of dove it’s so fresh and clean! I’m nervous to use facial oil as I have oily skin haha I did get a sample once from Emma Hardin and I actually enjoyed it but I’m not going out of my way to pick one up. I’ll look like an oil slick half way through the day aha. Thanks for reading xx

I too prefer bar soaps over gel, just seems to leave me feeling cleaner. I wanna try to Dove soap you suggested! I also wanna try Nice face cream, keep hearing great things about it. Part of my autumn beauty routine includes a really creamy body butter/lotion ?
