Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay | Review

October 5, 2017 in beauty

If you have been following my blog for a little while, you will know that I love face masks. Even better when they are free, which this one was. I received it as a free sample from Sephora when I was in New York back in March. It is safe to say I have had enough time to try this product and give you my honest thoughts.

Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay

This is the first product I have tried from Origins. This mask is supposed to help refine skin texture, minimise your pores and brighten your skin. The mask applies as a fairly thick consistency, this then dries on the skin. As the mask dries it isn’t too intense (in comparison to GlamGlow Supermud) and when it is time to remove it, Jojoba beads in the mask gently exfoliate your skin. This mask smells really nice and fresh, the rose scent isn’t too overpowering.

I enjoy using this mask but probably would not repurchase a full size. I prefer my masks to be a bit more intense, such as the GlamGlow masks. In regards to what the product says it will do, I definitely felt that this did improve my skin, but I have used others that create a similar result, for a cheaper price. I can’t say that I noticed a huge difference in my pores, but I would use a primer to solve that issue. Mostly, I use this when I want a bit of extra care for my face, without using a harsh mask. This mask costs £25 for 100g, which is on the pricier side. But in comparison to GlamGlow which costs £42 for 50g the Origins mask is a cheaper option. With any masks that have a higher price point I suggest trying to get hold of a sample first. There is nothing worse than investing in a product that you aren’t completely happy with.

This mask is perfect for sensitive skin, I would definitely recommend giving this a go. If you are looking for a product that isn’t too harsh on the skin but also leaves it feeling clean and smooth this is the product for you.

Yesss! I have been wanting to try the rose clay mask and just haven’t plucked up the courage. I love Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask from b-glowing so I know I will love this one I just haven’t done it yet.

That overnight mask sounds so good! My skin always feels so nice after using the rose clay mask and a little bit more radiant. I really want to try more products from Origins xx
