When I find a product I absolutely love, I find it difficult to replace it and try other products. I prefer to find a great product and if it works for me, I will stick to it. When I first purchased Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water I got it purely for the purpose of removing eye makeup. But now, If I am not wearing alot of foundation I will use it over my whole face and then apply moisturiser. It has made my everyday cleansing routine so much easier.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
The first formula I purchased was Skin Naturals, pictured above, it’s the one with the pink label. I have sensitive skin so this product was perfect. It has no fragrance, sometimes this can irritate sensitive skin. What I love most about this product is how well it removes eye makeup. I grab a cotton pad or two and apply the Micellar water to it and then place it on my eyes. I usually hold it on my eyes for about 10-15 seconds and I can then remove the makeup really easily. Before, I was using makeup wipes and I felt as if they were irritating and pulling on my eyes. I have also used products to remove eye makeup that have caused stinging – Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water does not sting!
Will Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Remove ALL Your Makeup?
If I have a full face of makeup on I will use the Micellar Water to clean off my eye makeup. I will then use a makeup wipe with cleanser on it to remove the rest of my foundation etc. If I am not wearing alot of makeup the Micellar Water works just fine on it’s own and I can go straight to applying moisturiser. You could use the Micellar Water to remove all your makeup but you would use alot of cotton pads. I find it easier to use a makeup wipe – something that is going to cover a larger area.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Formulas
Garnier have released several different formulas of the Micellar Cleansing Water:
- Skin Naturals – (Pink Label) – Sensitive Skin
- Pure Active – (Blue Label) – Oily Skin Prone to Imperfections
- Oil Infused – (Orange Label) – Dry & Sensitive Skin
- Skin Naturals Combination – (Green Label) – Combination & Sensitive Skin
As you can see in the image above, I have the Oil Infused formula. You are probably thinking, wait a minute you have oily skin? I’m not entirely sure why I chose this formula, but I actually really like it. This formula does contain perfume but it smells really nice and almost as if you are applying a treatment to your skin. I feel as though the product is nourishing my skin as well as cleansing it.
In regards to the other formulas, I am not sure on the pure active line. I feel that imperfection targeted products can be really harsh on the skin. I would consider purchasing the combination skin formula though, just to see how it compares. At the moment I am really enjoying the two formulas I have right now. I have almost finished the oil infused formula, so I repurchased the Skin Naturals one.
Garnier have recently released a Micellar Gel wash. I am drawn to this as I love the Micellar Water but I feel it does the job perfectly on it’s own. I have also seen that Simple have released a Micellar range so would be interested in trying this out. Have you tried any of these products?
I usually find great deals on Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, check out the price I paid for it in my Superdrug Haul here.
