Whenever my skin is not so great, a few breakouts and generally dull. I love to have a pamper night and treat my skin to a face mask. You can really see the benefits when your skin is at its worst. I especially love to use a mask after a night out or lots of travelling. I remember when I first saw GLAMGLOW products, lots of YouTubers were talking about them and reviewing them. All of them mentioning how good they were. Intrigued, when I looked up the price I was disappointed, there was no way I was going to spend £40 on a face mask?! Last year I visited Sephora in Venice and they were selling a set of four mini versions of GLAMGLOW masks and I knew I had to get them.
Supermud
This is the mask I was most excited try as it was the one I had heard the most about. Supermud is a clearing treatment. It has quite a strong scent, which I can only describe as Aniseed/Eucalyptus, but it is not horrific. To me, it smells natural and like the product is going to work. When you first apply the mask to your skin it is a thin smooth consistency which then dries very quickly. Once the mask has dried it feels very tight on your face, but not uncomfortable. After a little while you can see the oil that the mask is absorbing. Once you wash the mask off, your skin is left feeling incredibly soft and I noticed that it shrunk my pores considerably. This mask is great for using on breakouts and for deep cleaning the skin.
Thirstymud
I was really surprised with this mask. Thirstymud is a hydrating treatment, I have oily skin and I thought I don’t really need ‘hydrating’, but this mask infuses moisturiser into your skin without making it oily. I didn’t feel this was quite as intense as Supermud, so if you have sensitive skin this is the one for you. This mask has a really nice coconut scent. I liked applying this at night, my skin would be so soft in the morning. GLAMGLOW suggest using this on a flight which I think would work really well. If you have dry skin this will work really well for you.
Powermud
This mask is a mud to oil deep cleansing treatment. The mask has a thin consistency, making it nice and easy to cover your face. You apply the product as you would any other mask and leave it on. After about 10/15 minutes you massage it into your skin with wet hands. This transforms the mask into an oil treatment. The smell of this mask is a bit odd. I thought mine smelt weird because I have had it for quite a while – but had not opened it properly until recently. Looking through the reviews on Sephora, others were saying it almost has a mouldy scent to it. This may be due to the ingredients, the mask does have a fresh scent to it, but whatever the scent is that smells off, overpowers the nice scent. If I bought another set, I would definitely use this again but I wouldn’t buy the full size on its own. I feel that Supermud and Youthmud have a better effect on my skin.
Youthmud
This mask is my joint favourite with Supermud. I was sceptical with this one as it says it is tinglexfoilate treatment. Firstly, some tingle treatments can feel a bit strange. Secondly, I was worried about it being too harsh on sensitive skin. On application, you will feel a tingle/burning sensation. I personally didn’t think it was uncomfortable, it’s as if you can feel the product working. After about 10 minutes, the mask dries onto your skin and feels really tight, similar to Supermud. As you remove the product, massage your skin in circular motions with wet hands to exfoliate your skin. My face felt so smooth afterwards, pores tightened and extremely clean. This mask smells like aniseed – similar to Supermud – but less intense and more fresh.
Would I repurchase the GLAMGLOW masks?
Overall, I feel these are a really nice treat, who can afford to get facials? Out of the four my favourites are Supermud and Youthmud, I would be happy to pay £40 for the full size mask, knowing that they will last me a long time. I really want to try Gravitymud and Flashmud, these are the newest editions to their range. If you fancy trying these out, I found a limited edition treatment set on the GLAMGLOW website for £35 and it has each of the different masks in it. I would definitely recommend grabbing something like this or a gift set at Christmas to try them out before committing to the full size product. The GLAMGLOW range has expanded over the past few years they also sell cleansers, moisturisers and lip products.
Are there cheaper alternatives? I would say yes, for example, I really love the Lush Mask of Magnaminty – read the review here. There are also lots of charcoal masks on the market at the moment that are really good for cleaning pores. Being interested in beauty & skincare I like trying out all different products.
Have you tried any of the GLAMGLOW products?

I haven’t tried any of the masks from Glamglow but I have heard so much about them on youtube! They sound really good but the price tag has always scared me off. The thirstymud mask seems right up my alley though xx Brynn

I was so intrigued to see what the hype was all about! You can buy mini versions on their own http://m.glamglow.co.uk/product/17201/39220/travel/thirstymudtm-hydrating-treatment-glam-to-go £14 is still pretty pricey for how much you get but better to try a smaller version first. Otherwise if you have anywhere local that sells them you may be able to get a sample xx
I adore the Youthmud and Supermud! Would love to try the others aswell! x
