It’s that time of year again, the UK Blog Awards public vote is officially underway! If you aren’t familiar with the UKBA, their mission is to recognise all different types of creators and organisations in the internet community. The UKBA is the only multi-industry awards honouring online excellence.
I am so excited to say that this year I have been shortlisted to the second stage of the awards. You can vote for me in the Beauty or Lifestyle category. It is insane to see my blog on their website. When I first started this blog at the beginning of 2017, I would never have thought that one day I would be included in the UK Blog Awards. If you enjoy my content I would really appreciate if you support me in the UK Blog Awards! VOTE FOR ME HERE.
Here are my favourite picks from some of the categories in the UK Blog Awards – Be sure to go and support your faves! Browse all categories & vote here.
Never Settle – Dating – Eve
“With a focus on millennial women, Never Settle focuses on specific content to promote women’s health, dating and love life, as well as offering support in all areas of relationships for both men and women. Never Settle pushes the latest trends to the forefront of discussion, tackling controversial and taboo subjects head-on, and looks to provide a range of outcomes and a way of achieving them, based on a mixture of personal experience and extensive psychological and sociological research.”
Eve has been there for me throughout my blogging journey and has always been supportive. I reached out to her when I was going through a hard time this year. She was so understanding and provided advice that really helped me move forward in the situation. Her blog provides so much information, not just for those who are single but also advice for those in relationships too.
“Don’t settle just because it feels comfortable or safe or that you’ll never find anyone else. Make risks, take chances, be brave.”
The Life Of A Glasgow Girl – Mental Health – Jordanna
“The Life Of A Glasgow Girl is a Lifestyle blog that covers an array of topics such as mental health, food, beauty, fashion, parenting and much more. My aim is to keep things real, not to shy away from those bad days and keep the life I share online as balanced as possible instead of just the highlights and good parts because life isn’t always rainbows and kittens”
I love Jordanna’s transparency – she doesn’t just show the typical ‘perfect blogger image’. She shows it is normal to go through ups and downs. I also like that she discusses a multitude of topics.
Natasha Atlas – Mental Health/Travel – Natasha
“Natasha Atlas is a travel blog which is focused around my anxieties. Travelling as much as I can while struggling with the stress of daily anxiety and sharing how to overcome it on the road.”
Whether you are looking for location inspiration or travel tips – Natasha covers it all. Her content is so thorough and has really helped me answer my questions for an upcoming trip. It’s so handy to get opinions from people that have been on the trips you are looking at booking.
Wellness & Wander – Wellbeing – Han
“My blog started as a creative outlet when I was going through a hard time. However, after a couple of months, it transformed into a place online that I wanted to help others and make them feel safe and not alone. I speak openly about my own mental health experiences and speak about other topics such as wellbeing and fitness which could help others live a happy and healthy life.”
Han’s blog motivates me to get my act together and get healthy. I love the posts on fitness and self-development.

When you start blogging, it is very surreal to think that one day you could be involved in something like this. If you have a vision, pursue it and consistently work towards it. I truly believe we are all capable of anything we put our minds to. We just have to put in the work and try not to get complacent. If you enjoy what you are doing, your passion really does shine through in your content.
If you have voted for me or if you just enjoy my content, thank you so much. It honestly means the world. I love blogging and I have connected with lots of amazing people. I am so excited for 2019, I have big plans for hayleyxmartin.com and lots of things coming to help you build your blogs & businesses.
