I have been a fan of The Sims since the first generation. Having grown up with the game, I have enjoyed watching it develop and evolve. When Sims 4 was released in 2014 it received alot of criticism, as it seemed quite basic and missing parts of the previous editions of the games that came as standard, for example, the game did not feature toddlers and pools. EA released an update of the game which added pools to the game and have announced yesterday that you can now download a free update that will install the toddler life stage into your game. The producers of the Sims claimed they missed out parts of the game to focus on others and get it right. I can agree with that – I feel that Sims 4 is very well developed.
My game is updating as I write this post so I cannot give you my thoughts on it yet – I am intrigued as to what interactions are going to be added in this update and how it will differ to Sims 3. Once I have had a good look at all the features I will do a follow up sharing my thoughts on this update. From what i have seen already online – the update features:
More Create-A-Sim options; teeth, skin tone
Build/Buy Mode; wallpapers, floors, doors
I am going to do a separate post on my favourite expansion packs and which ones I didn’t feel were worth it. I am hoping they release another holiday/vacation related expansion and I really hope they bring back pets!
What are you hoping EA will add to the game? Which have been your favourite expansions across all the generations?
