October Goals

Blogtober is here! I am really excited for this month, there is lots going on. If you aren’t aware, Blogtober is a challenge in which bloggers create new content everyday of October. If you aren’t able to post new content everyday I still believe you can challenge yourself with a different goal. For example, commenting on more blogs and being more active within the blogging community.

As well as Blogtober, I have lots going on with my business that I am in the process of setting up. I have officially been self employed since the beginning of September. My store now exists on the internet and I have set up my social media accounts. I will announce more nearer the launch of the store. My website is currently protected by a password, so I won’t share the name yet.

To kick off the month I want to share with you my goals. It is so important to set realistic goals, we can use them to measure what we need to do throughout the month. We can also then reflect at the end and decide if we exceeded our expectation or if things could be done differently next time. Read my post on why goals are important here. I have separated my goals into my three main focuses for the month:


  • Drink at least 2L water – Daily
  • Complete exercise routine – Read here
  • Read more books – One per week
  • Have a pamper night – At least once a week


  • Complete Blogtober
  • Join a Twitter Chat – Twice a week
  • Double August views & exceed July views
  • Exceed best overall day views
  • Reach 750 Twitter followers

  • Complete all styles of logo
  • Get store ready for launch
  • Order stock & packaging
  • Product photography
  • Add products to store
  • Open store or set date
