Feeling Lost & Finding Motivation To Move Forward

July 16, 2017 in Self-Development

You know those days when you are feeling down and a little lost? Today was one of those for me. The side effects of not having a job are now starting to kick in. I didn’t realise how weird it would be to have the social side of work removed from my life. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret leaving my job, but I definitely miss the interaction. I am now back into the swing of applying for jobs, but I am also getting frustrated because I would love to be self-employed. For the past year or so I have thought a lot about running my own business, trouble is I either don’t have a niche idea, or when I look up suppliers I can’t find exactly what I want.

Throughout the afternoon my mood started to lift and I got thinking about the ways you can help yourself when you are stuck in a rut, of which I will share in an upcoming post. I had a nice walk this evening with my family. It is definitely good to get out the house and have chat. I also got to take some pictures – which I love doing.

I’m going to keep todays post short and I will leave you with some of the pictures I took.

So glad I’m not the only one! I want to just do it and make it happen – even if it’s just a small business xx

Hey I know what you’re going through. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree 2 years ago, had a few internships afterwards, and it’s been a year since I’ve been out of a job. Well, I get paid to take care of my sister and niece (both of whom have autism) but I would really like to get a job in my field, and it’s just been very difficult and discouraging, especially when you get the email “We really loved your work, but unfortunately, we chose someone else, thank you for interviewing us”…it makes me wonder what’s wrong with me. Your photos are beautiful too. I’m here if you ever need to talk!

Thank you so much Hannah! Interviewing is so tough and because there so many people going for each job you never get specific feedback if any at all! We just have to be persistent I guess. I hope you get something soon! xx
