Hi Everyone,

I spent the week from 24th – 28th March at Center Parcs Elveden Forest and thought I would share what we got up to throughout the week. If you have never been to Center Parcs I hope this gives a good insight into what it is like. Any questions leave a comment below and I will get back to you.

Center Parcs’ description of the Elveden Forest location:
“Over 400 acres of lush woodland is home to the Village Square and Sports Plaza at Elveden Forest. With one of our largest Watersports lakes, you can try the thrilling Cable Water Ski or finish Aerial Adventure with a dramatic Zip Wire over the water. For a more laid-back break, there’s a nine-hole golf course next to the stylish new Breckland Apartments. Take a wander down some of the miles of woodland paths and you’re likely to spot some of the little muntjac deer that make Elveden Forest home.” Center Parcs – Villages  – Elveden Forest Suffolk

Seven of us went and we stayed in a four bedroom lodge – 2 bedrooms with double beds and 2 with twin beds. The lodge had a main bathroom [Shower/Bath + Toilet] there was also a separate shower room and a separate toilet. The lodge is equipped with everything you will need to cook a wide variety of meals – everything but food, cleaning essentials etc is provided – There is a supermarket onsite but you will save money having bought the majority beforehand, or you could choose to eat at the restaurants that are on site.

There are lots of activities that you can book whilst at Center Parcs, you can access the website from your own computer/mobile or use one of the booking points onsite. If you are planning a visit to Center Parcs I would definitely recommend having a look at the activity price list in order to choose what it is you want to do throughout your stay and the prices so you are able to budget/save ahead of your visit. To view some example activity prices – click here.
Throughout our stay we decided to the following activities:

If you are travelling as a large group I recommend booking all of your activities at the beginning or before your trip, as spaces are limited!

I have previously visited the Longleat Forest location several times and the Whinfell Forest location once. In comparison I felt that Elveden Forest was fairly compact village – It may have felt that way as our lodge was in the main area and only a five or ten minute walk to the plaza – Ideal if you don’t want to be too far from the main areas, whereas at Longleat and Whinfell I definitely recommend hiring a bike (or bring your own)- you can spend most of the day riding around the site and the surrounding cycle paths. I would definitely consider if you do wish to bring your bike or plan on doing lots of walking – Elveden Forest is nice and flat – there aren’t any hills/inclines that you would have to take into consideration – whereas Longleat and Whinfell, if your villa is quite far from the plaza you could have to endure this everyday – Its all down to you and what you are most comfortable with and what you want from your holiday. Personally, I don’t mind either and I enjoy bike riding around Center Parcs. We had a great time away its nice to have a change of scenery. I think Center Parcs is an excellent short holiday break and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and has been helpful for you – If you have any questions leave a comment below and I will get back to you.
